Details:
The SL 7143550 Station Platform comes with a center mounted SL 8303550 Lamp post with 4 LED Tiffany Opal Soft White Light Fixtures + 2 steps. The bottom of the platform is hollow for mounting electronics and has a center hole that matches the hole in the platform top late. A machine screw is included that runs through a 22mm high tapered plug for a tool free installation of the wire SL 8303550 lamp post and 4 LED Tiffany Opal White Lamp Fixture. Full platform illumination is provided by 1.5 & 2 inch arms. See photo below showing the station platform with plug. The plug has a channel for running the wires to the interior of the platform where an optional SL LED controller be mounted for running up to 300 SL LED fixtures.
The 19mm platform height was chosen to match the 19mm distance between steps on G Scale passenger cars and trolleys. The rail height is below this height so our optional SL 7100003 3 piece track bridge and optional SL 7100007 3 piece: 60mm wide platform & bridge gently slope to match the top of the rails and the top of the center bridge between the rails. This allows passengers, carts and vehicles to move easily and safely over the tracks.

- Assembled Station Platform
- The inside of the platform is hollow for SL LED controller and wiring
- There are four mounting tabs built into the bottom corners for mounting with:
- Cement
- 3M adhesive tape
- or by using the four each 4.7mm diameter holes with
- screws for layout baseboard
- Common nails for earth anchoring
- SL plastic ABS spikes
- The Platform has channels built in for easy wire routing between platforms and to power.
- A screw is provided for holding the top of the platform and the lamp post mounting plug to the base.
- The 22 mm high mounting plug is tapered to hold the lamp posts base securely without tools.
- The mounting plug has a channel that matches a 2nd small in the top of the platform for passing the LED power wires into the base of the platform.

Optional SL 8453003 Precision Train Throttle & LED controller
The Optional Shourt Line SL 8453003 Precision Throttle (shown above) has a 25 turn speed/voltage adjustment for stable regulated output regardless of changes to input voltage.

- LED controller Instructions and precautions:
- When powering LEDs always set your output voltage to the maximum LED forward voltage (3.1 volts for Shourt Line warm white LEDs) and the maximum LED current
- Never connect input to more than one power source.
- Never connect a power source to the output.
- Clean the surface with an alcohol wipe prior to using the 3M adhesive pad included with many models of the Precision Throttle and LED controller.
- Provide adequate ventilation when powering over 2 amps or 10 watts of load
- When used with a decoder, always connect the negative input to decoder GND
- Not a toy; keep out of the reach of children, can cause choking due to the small size.
Use the Shourt Line Precision Throttle & LED Controller to power dozens of our SL LED ceiling lighting fixtures from Battery, Analog and/or DCC track power.
This is a common problem with all other lighting products today. Because a white LED uses only about 3 volts but the track voltage can be as high as 22 volts, the difference between 3 and 22 volts or 19 volts is wasted as heat. This is booth inefficient, 19/22 or 86% of track power goes up in heat, and when track power is say lowed to 6 volts at slow train speeds with analog power the output of the light is reduced by (22-6)/22 or 73% while each dropping resistor still wastes power. Because most other lighting products only light a strip along the center of the car they create uneven lighting, particularly in the seating areas and at the same time they over light the center isle where the LEDs as located. The SL-8133230 31 LED 3 Drop Ceiling Lighting fixture also provides two Amber Toilet LEDs and 2 Red LEDs for the tail lights. Additional LEDs may be added by you at any time by simply wiring in parallel to the existing LEDs. One SL-8133230 can power as many as 12 passenger cars with SL-8133230 31 LED drop ceiling fixtures installed.
Prior to the induction of the Precision Throttle and LED controller we at the Shourt Line had to versions of each lighting product; one for DC (analog) uses and one for DCC users. This was necessary in order to efficiently at low track voltage and high track voltage respectively. We now have a version of drop ceiling lighting boards for use with the new Precision Throttle and LED controller that is the only product that can work efficiently with both low and high track voltage.
The micro size allows the Shourt Line Precision Throttle & LED Controller to fit between the drop ceiling and car roofs or can be mounted inside or under cars. For outdoor under car mounting use our weather proof SL- 8552403 Weatherproof model.

The SL 8453003 features a built in AC to DC rectifier for connecting to the track power using DC (analog), DCC or AC at 3 to 30 volts.
Flicker Fee LED operation from track voltage: All models of the Shourt Line Precision Throttle and LED Controller have build in buffers, for more than 4 LEDs simply add a capacitor to the IN+ and IN- outputs for flicker free lighting from track power via wheel pickups. Use a 25V or higher Electrolytic Capacitor; 50uF/LED, (30 LEDs = 1,500uF, 300 LEDs use a 15,000 uF capacitor) To keep your LEDs working when a train stops on analog track power use 500uF/LED/second of operation; Use the SL-6102104 Mini Gold Cap Buffer 2.5 Farad 10.7 Volt -UPS (shown below) for analog power and 20 minutes/LED of operation.
