The Prototype:
The Mogul locomotive is an American classic. During the late 1800s and early 1900s, more than 10,000 of these versatile locos were built for freight and passenger service throughout North America. The term "Mogul" refers to the "2-6-0" wheel configuration of these locos: two small guide wheels followed by six big driving wheels and no trailing wheels.

Loco bottom view - The loco has 6wheel drive for pulling cars and 8 power pickup points for reliable operation.
The bottom of the tender has 4 wheel power pickup points, two reed switches on the rear trucks for track magnet activation of bell and whistle, a sound on/off switch (top center) and a volume control (bottom center).
A working directional rear lamp and track power outlet are on the rear of the tender for powering following cars.
The boiler door opens and the snow plow on the front pushes the snow off the tracks.
