The Prototype:
Railroads have always needed small rail vehicles for track maintenance and inspection chores. Small railroads would often fill that need by equipping a regular road truck with a flanged metal wheels to create a "rail truck." These were often simple conversions, made using scrap parts found around the railroad's shops. Some were successful and some were not. But these unique vehicles have always been a fascination part of the railroad scene.The Model:

Interior cab lighting can be added by the Shourt Line including a green dashboard illumination to illuminate the drivers face. .
Drive Mechanism:
This model is powered by a seven-pole Bühler motor. 2 axles are powered.
