- Auto short circuit shut-down on short current or current over 18 amps cuts track output and turns off Power LED to notify user of short circuit condition. To reset; remove cause of short circuit, turn speed control full counter clockwise - power LED and track power be restored.

The SL 5102415 TLC15FP Throttle uses an input of 10 to 24 volts AC or DC. Cooling is provided by a bushless speed controlled fan to match cooling requirements. Fan is off when your trains are stopped or running slow and increases as your use more power. Works with any scale trains and any input voltage from 10 to 24 volts. The throttle employs a 32 amp output stage but is conservatively rated at 15 amps continuous output. An 18 amp short-circuit protection shuts off the output and turns off the power LED and the output stays off until the fault is removed and speed dial is returned to zero and then set to desired speed. This unit is both a table-top and a hand held throttle.
The picture above shows the tabletop configuration with input/output connectors on top. The connectors can be placed on the bottom by removing the face-plate, rotating 180 degrees and replacing. In this configuration the unit is ideal for a palm held or walk around throttle with the input/output connectors coming out the bottom.
The SL 5102415 TLC15FP DC Analog Throttle features a large forward/reverse switch and a quick response throttle. Turning past slow will stop the power output and reset the over current protection circuit when tripped. Over temperature protection is included and the blinking LED indicator over temp when the output is shut-off due to over temperature.

Two terminals are for DC input power. These are used to connect the throttle with a regulated pure DC supply like our new 15 amp 24 volt regulated switching power supply.
Two terminals are for Track output power. These are used to connect power to your track.
Options:
AC input and DC output cables: 5 foot grounded 18AWG AC power cable and 10 foot red and black 14 AWG power cable for connecting to our 15 amp power supply.
Regulated 15 amp 24 volt switching power supply: featuring over temperature, short circuit and over voltage protection with adjustable output voltage from a front panel adjustment.
Track power clamps: Easy to use quick connect clamps for sending power to your tracks

The two track output terminals provide adjustable continuous pure DC power to your G Scale or any other scale trains or other DC loads. (note 13 amp throttle is shown below) These are used to connect the throttle with a regulated pure DC supply like the SL-PS320-1-27Fp power supply by ShourtLine as shown below.
